Summer School Program at McAdams Academy

2024 Summer School

Who: High School Students who have fallen behind on credits.

​

When & Where: Students will be able to enroll in any of the two summer school sessions. Each session will be for a half-day for 4 weeks, at McAdams Academy. Sessions will be held from 8:00-11:00am, M-F. The student will work towards one credit at a time.

 

• Session 1 will be held from June 3, 2024 to June 28, 2024

• Session 2 will be held from July 1, 2024 to July 26, 2024 (no school on July 4th)

*No new students will be accepted after June 14, 2024. Students enrolling in Session 2 will not receive transcripts with this summer class until September 2024.

 

Cost: This service is not presently funded by a grant so McAdams will charge a fee for each session. Each 4-week, half-day session is $100. If a student took the June session, the July session is only $50 (savings of $50). *Availability is on a first-come first-served basis; student is not enrolled until payment is received.

Why: The benefits of this time include a low teacher-to-student ratio with a staff member who can tutor students and keep them on task towards earning transferable high school credits. Students will have a structured and productive learning environment to be in, rather than being in unsupervised settings. Staff will continually work to strengthen student academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skill sets.
